The Sustainable Business Council of Los Angeles (SBCLA) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We do not sell or rent any personally identifiable information about you to any third party.

Website Statistics
We gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. The information is not linked to personally identifiable information. This information includes the amount of traffic the website is receiving, what browser and operating system you are using, your IP address, etc.

We use cookies on certain pages of our site. We may also offer certain features that are only available through the use of a cookie. Cookies are stored on your hard drive, not on our site. Most cookies are “session cookies,” meaning that they are automatically deleted at the end of a session. The other type of cookie we use is a ‘persistent’ cookie. This stays on your hard drive and we use this to automatically identify who you are. We use this cookie so that you do not need register for a password every time you visit the site if you are a previously registered user. The cookie itself contains no personally identifiable information. You are always free to decline our cookies if your browser permits, although in that case you will not be able to use certain features on our site. For example, if you disable cookies, you will need to register for a password each time you visit the site to post comments on the SBC Community pages because cookies remember who you are.

The SBCLA website may offer optional integration with third-party websites and/or services. SBCLA users that elect to use these features may need to provide third-party credentials (e.g. username, password). We use best efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of these credentials but we do not use encryption (such as SSL) to further protect the information as it travels across the Internet except for the e-commerce functionality of the shopping cart that is utilized when registering for events.
Secure Credit Card Transactions

When you donate to the SBCLA or purchase registration for an event via the SBCLA website please note your donation information and or purchased registration is encrypted and transmitted via a secure third party connection and this information is then provided back to the SBCLA. Please also note that SBCLA uses your credit card information only for the purpose of processing your donation or registration. We will not disclose this information at any time with the exception of when it is necessary to process your payment.
